Arriving in Conakry

I'll try not to overload anyone with information. We (Jeanna and I) arrived in Conakry last night around 11pm (which was 6pm Asheville time). The travel time from Charlotte totaled out to be around 28 hours. Long time...I feel...well, however it feels to not sleep for 28 hours straight. Its okay though, I woke up at 1pm today thinking it was 7 am. Jet lag will probably take a few days to wear off. Airports are ridiculous  and its amazing that we survived them being half asleep.

Gabe, one of the Mercy Ship security guys picked us up at the airport. He is nice. Driving in Africa is awesome. No lines, no lights, just a bunch of cars and people on the road. Exciting for sure. When we got to the ship, the first person I met was Susan. When I told her my name she started laughing...I asked her nicely, "what is so funny?" to which she replied, "so you are the one whose been emailing me?" Okay, I had a few (maybe a little more than that) of questions, but good to know she thinks its funny and wasn't annoyed with me.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that we had to get our picture taken first thing when we got here...one word: gross. No one should have to have their picture taken after 28 hours on a plane.

Well, my pictures aren't uploading...so I need to work on that. No pictures right now, sorry.
