I'm in the midst of battling off a cold. My sinuses are fighting extremely hard, but in doing so, have used up all my energy and strength. So this entry will probably be short. :) Below are a few different things that have happened in the past week. I will try and take more pictures of every day life on the ship. If you are curious about anything or have any questions please ask! It can be very helpful to me in knowing what to blog about. Currently, I think I'm in a small slump in the trip. Without getting all my emotions involved let me say that April 3rd is coming on really fast and I am just not mentally prepared to leave. It is comforting to know that I don't really have to say goodbye. But the ache of not knowing if I'll see my new friends on this side of heaven is still there. I want to live wholeheartedly these next three weeks, soaking up all the blessings of friendship God has given me while being here. Would you pray that God would fill me up with thankfulness and joy, and a selflessness that I so often lack.
Visited the off-ship eye clinic. Above is a case of prescription lenses, given to patients who don't need surgery.
While we were working at Starbucks Jenny spilled milk everywhere....I kinda failed at getting the floor in the picture.

Wow the entrance to the boat is really big! It's still hard to imagine size of the ship. Were all these people coming to work on the ship. Where is that young man going to play tennis?
ReplyDeleteThe ship is pretty big... I think most of those people were personal guests, maybe one or two were crew. The guy with the tennis racket I think had just come back from playing on some courts in Conakry. I've never been to any tennis courts though.
